Dr. Shawn Stewart
Dr. Shawn Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, and Anxiety and Attention disorders. He is currently in private practice at The Stewart-Beavers Institute in Nashville. Having devoted over 15 years to specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder treatment, Dr. Stewart is a pioneer in the field. In addition to his practice, Dr. Stewart is also a behavior expert for the State of Tennessee Board of Education, consultant for educators, author, and former newspaper columnist and radio show host. He has hosted Autism Spectrum Disorder seminars that have been attended by tens of thousands of educators.
Shawn Stewart holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from Tennessee State University. He completed post-doctoral training at Western Michigan University. His seminars have been approved by multiple states to offer Continuing Education credits to teachers and educators.


Dr. Lisa Beavers
Dr. Lisa Beavers is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Sex Therapist, and Certified Sexuality Educator. She is in private practice in Nashville, offering individuals, couples, and relationship, family, and group psychotherapy. In addition to general psychotherapy, Dr. Beavers specializes in sex therapy and coaching, sexuality education, workshops, clinical supervision for mental health professionals, and consultations to local agencies and mental health programs.
Lisa Beavers holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from Tennessee State University. She is certified with the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists as both a sex therapist and sexuality educator. In addition to her other work, she has also served as an adjunct instructor at Argosy University, Tennessee State University, and Nashville State Community College.
Jennifer Edwards
Jennifer Edwards is a Marriage and Family Therapist at the Stewart-Beavers Institute, holding a temporary license (MMFT) from the State of Tennessee. She is currently pursuing her licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She works with a wide spectrum of clients, including individuals, couples, and families. Jennifer’s primary focuses are couples counseling, sex therapy and coaching, LGBTQ community, anxiety and attention disorders, depression, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. A significant amount of Jennifer’s practice is devoted to gender identity, exploration, and development. She also administers Neurofeedback therapy, and conducts brain mappings.
Jennifer earned her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2013. She completed her internship at the Stewart-Beavers Institute. She is also currently working towards becoming certified with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, as well as becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

Kate Wolf
Katelynd Wolf is a first-year clinician with the Stewart-Beavers Institute, and is currently working toward licensure. This is her second year with the Stewart-Beavers Institute. Kate administers psychotherapy, assessments, clinical treatment, play therapy, and neurofeedback to a range of clientele with different ages, diagnoses, and needs. Kate administers therapy through a dynamic approach utilizing her training, involving expressive techniques, goal-oriented and solution-focused techniques, and dialectical behavior therapy. Her largest practice focuses include the LGBTQ community, gender identity and development, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Kate received her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from David Lipscomb University in 2014. She completed her clinical internship with the Stewart-Beavers Institute.
